Since the start of the pandemic, virtual event platforms have been getting extremely popular, because people can interact Digital all across the world without going to a physical location.
And since the pandemic has slowly faded and some locations have come back to normal, you can also use a hybrid system.

It reminds me of the App Clubhouse or Twitter Spaces

These invited participants are also able to share their screens and broadcast through their webcam or video camera.
You can also send them back to attendee mode at any time.

They have an “Evergreen” webinar system, where you can run the same webinar and direct your new leads to an already existing webinar, so you don’t have to go live every time!
It also includes scheduled chats, so you can ask a question to the audience at a specified time (ex: 30 minutes and 30 seconds) and so it “looks” like it is being presented live, when it is actually pre-recorded.
I’ve had tons of success with this system and WebinarJam is recommended especially if you’re using it mainly for sales and marketing.

So any extra services or features you don’t use, you won’t need to pay the extra premium that other virtual conference platforms will charge you. Demio is probably one of the quickest ways to organize a webinar.
You don’t need to download any software, so you just provide everyone you’re interacting with, with URLs and they can hop on from anywhere with an internet connection.
Demio supports all modern internet browsers such as:
- Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Safari
So whatever browser you’re using, it should be supported by Demio
You can also use your own logo and branding for all your webinars.
Their Webinar Campaigns are split into 3 different types:

- Interactive Polls
- Ability to send gifts and handouts
Source: Demio
As with all the best virtual conference platforms you’re able to chat with attendees (both in private and public), provide webcam access, automatic recording, and the ability to see real-time analytics and results.
You’re able able to see where attendees are dropping off during your presentation.
You’re able to provide a few different links to attendees:
- They have a Join Room anytime link, where they can immediately join the presentation without waiting in a queue room.
- You can provide them with a queue link, so you can manage attendees and see who is trying to join your event before letting them in.
One thing I would say is lacking with Demio, is it lacks a lot of third party integration because it is a browser based webinar system.
But overall, it is such an easy way to setup any event and also sharing is super easy because participants don’t have to download any software to join the event.
Demio Pricing
All Prices Based on Annual Plan:
- Starter: $34 per month (50 – Attendee Room)

Just imagine a conference where they set up booths, but in this case it’s all virtual.

#6 - Zoom
The OG
(Free - $250 /year )
David's Take
The original web conferencing software and the app that took the world by storm during the pandemic. It’s simple, it works, but may lack in features like some of the others on the list. But it’s a bonus feature on the list because we’ve all heard about it before.

Of course the best virtual conference platforms comparison wouldn’t be complete without the mention of Zoom.
Probably the most popular virtual conference platform and one of the most versatile.
During the pandemic, Zoom was a household name that anybody could recognize and it saw a huge surge in usage.
Since then, a lot of many powerful video conferencing platforms have entered the market so Zoom lost a lot of its user base, but it’s still a great option for the basic user.
Honestly, it probably isn’t the best for hosting a huge event with hundreds of people or scaling your virtual event, but for basic web conferencing it works just fine.
I would recommend it for small businesses, for schools, for coaching and consultants, and for teachers who have to teach a classroom.
It’s simple and it gets the job done.
Source: Zoom
Some of the features of Zoom:
- Can easily share screen and give permission for others to share their screen
- Whiteboards and annotations can be shared amongst participants to share ideas
- Up to 12 whiteboards can be opened up at a time
- Multiple breakout rooms
- Raise Hand feature to signal raising hand to speaker
- Session Recordings and voting polls
- Host has ability to mute/unmute participants
- Queue room, to keep everything organized
- And much more!
It’s one of the most popular for a reason!
It’s simple to use and the UI is pretty much self-explanatory.
Because it’s almost a Universal software at this point, people won’t need to download a separate software for their virtual conferencing.
The only downside is that it doesn’t have many of the advanced features that some of the best virtual conference platforms may have.
So if your aim is simplicity, then maybe you can take a look at Zoom.
Zoom Pricing
Zoom starts free for basic meetings and conferences.
But Zoom Webinar Starts from $690 /year and Events Start from $890 /year.
You can scale up to 10,000 Attendees which you would need to contact to request a quote.
Zoom is the most popular webinar conference software and although it lacks many features, it just works.
